Throttle Rocker Impressions

Throttle Rocker

This part was recommended to me by a fellow long distance rider, and is without question the best value for the money of any accessory I have. It has become absolutely indispensable on long tours, much like a windshield, and is the main factor in helping me to avoid hand fatigue after riding 700+ mile days. The Throttle Rocker essentially acts as a small, removable paddle which you place on the throttle side grip. You can then cruise as usual, allowing the paddle to rest upon the bottom palm of your right hand, completely eliminating the need to squeeze the grip to maintain your speed. Although it may sound easy, ask someone who has ridden for 16+ hours without the 'Rocker how their right hand feels afterwards - It's not a pleasurable experience! When not needed, which is anytime you're not going to spend a few hours straight on the bike at steady cruising speeds, you just slide the Throttle Rocker off the grip and store it. I found this Throttle Rocker to be superior in terms of feel and design to the comparable Kuryakyn "Throttle Boss," which is too small to be useful. It's cheaper too, at about $8.
